Specialty Latte RecipesThese recipes are simply basic
guidelines to making tasty drinks. Feel free to add a little more
espresso, milk, or other ingredients to make them your own. The
possibilities are endless!
All recipes are based on 12 ounce size drinksBasic LatteThis recipe should be used as a base for all latte drinks- Steam your milk making sure to create some foam (For fuller detail see How to Steam Milk)
- Once
it reaches the right temperature (140 degrees), pull 2 shots of espresso (If you're
adding flavors, add them to your cup and then when espresso has brewed,
pour it in and stir with flavors)
- As soon as espresso is brewed pour into ceramic mug
- Pour in hot milk allowing foam to pour smoothly
- When the mug is full, you should have about an inch of foam on the top of your latte
To make any of the following lattes iced, follow these directions:- Fill your cup halfway with cold milk (If you're adding flavors, add them here and stir in with milk)
- Pull 2 shots of espresso
- As soon as espresso has brewed, pour it in with the milk
- Stir them until well mixed
- Add ice to the top of your cup
Vanilla Latte- Steam your milk
- Pour 1/2 oz Vanilla Syrup into your mug
- Pull 2 shots of espresso and add to mug
- Stir
- Immediately add steamed milk to the mug and cap with about an inch of foam
Almond Cinnamon Coffee - Steam your milk
- Pour 1/2 oz Almond Syrup into mug
- Add 1 tsp. sugar
- Pull 2 shots of espresso, add to mug
- Stir well to dissolve sugar
- Add steamed milk
- Top with a few dashes of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick
Almond Joy- Steam your milk
- Pour 1/4 oz each of Almond, Mocha, and Coconut syrup into mug
- Pull 2 shots of espresso and add to mug
- Stir
- Fill with steamed milk leaving 1/2 inch of room to the top
- Top with whipped cream
Mocha - Steam your milk
- Pour 1/2 oz Mocha (Chocolate) syrup into mug
- Pull 2 shots of espresso and add to mug
- Stir
- Fill with steamed milk
- Top with whipped cream if desired
Gingerbread Latte- Steam your milk
- Pour 1/2 oz Gingerbread syrup into mug
- Pull 2 shots of espresso and add to mug
- Stir
- Fill with steamed milk
- Top with Whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg
Sweet Cinnamon Delight- Steam your milk
- Pour 1/2 oz Caramel syrup and 1/4 oz Cinnamon syrup into mug
- Pull 2 shots of espresso and add to mug
- Stir
- Fill with steamed milk
- Top with whipped cream and a few dashes of cinnamon
Eggnog Latte- Combine about 1/2 cup Eggnog and 1/4 cup 2% or Whole milk in a steam pitcher
- Steam the milk mixture to the desired 140 degrees
- Pull 2 shots of espresso and add to mug
- Immediately add the steamed Eggnog mixture
- Top with whipped cream and a few dashes of nutmeg
